WELCOME TO MY STORY

I'm here to walk alongside you

Hi, I'm Cara. I am a mother to three handsome, busy and rambunctious little boys; so I am in the trenches with you dear moms. I grew up in Sylvan Lake, and graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education degree. I taught and counselled children and youth (K-12) for 10 years in the Red Deer public school system. During this time I got my Masters in Psychology & Counselling.

I have my own journey through motherhood that has been tough, overwhelming and at times very isolating.  This season in my life created the passion and deep caring I feel for mothers as they too adjust during motherhood. It has led me here with you.  I can relate to many new and seasoned moms out there. Sometimes we need help to crawl out of a dark space, and I would be honoured to help you reframe your story.

I also have a passion for helping families. My experience in the school system has given a great understanding for children and teens. I believe that a deeper healing happens when the family unit is involved in the process of therapy.

About The Clinic

Our quiet and peaceful clinic is located just on the outskirts of Red Deer, nestled on a little piece of prairie country. You'll enjoy the brand new, but cozy atmosphere of our independent practice and immediately feel at ease when you step foot inside our doors. The space was designed and built with reclaimed materials and fixtures giving it a warm, but modern feel... the perfect place to rest and heal.
